Published: Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 – 7:39 am Eddie Murphy’s old house in Granite Bay is on the market for a cool $12 million.

The sprawling, hilltop mansion in the pricey Los Lagos subdivision was owned by the Trading Places and Saturday Night Live comedian when he and ex-wife Nicole Mitchell were together.

A Nevada investor acquired the property in 2007, according to a press release from listing agents Jon Kirkpatrick of Chase International Real Estate and Nick Sadek of NRS Luxury Estates.

The estate includes a 12,627-square-foot home and a 5,200-square foot guesthouse, purchased by Murphy in 1998. The estate sports views of Sacramento, the Sierra Nevada and Folsom Lake Recreation Area.

Included in the sale price are Murphy’s old furnishings, including a rare piano. The home has been the site of charity galas since being acquired by its present owner.

The 2.5-acre estate sits on two lots and includes 14 bathrooms, garage parking for nine cars, a screening room, four wet bars, a large infinity pool and a 1,200-square-foot gym.

“The property has a presence like no other,” Kirkpatrick said. “It stands out, even when viewing it from Google Earth. It’s expansive and exclusive with a bit of Hollywood glamour.”

Here’s a link to a video of the property.
